About the National Federation of Shopmobility

Lady in check dress on red mobility scooter The first Shopmobility scheme opened in 1979 at the then new Milton Keynes Shopping Centre. By 1987, twenty schemes were running and moves were made to establish a National Federation of Shopmobility, UK (NFSUK). By 1991 the number of Shopmobility sites had increased to thirty-seven.

NFSUK now has 323 affiliated schemes today with many others in the process of starting/ affiliating.
