Direct Payments

If you are entitled to help from Social Services to manage at home because of disability or poor health, you can choose between asking Social Services to arrange your care or having the money to make your own arrangements.

For adults with a disability, or those over pension age whose assessment shows that they are eligible for a service, Direct Payments gives more choice and control over the help they get.

To find out if you can receive Direct Payments and to have an assessment, contact one of our offices. We have a leaflet which gives more information, you can download a PDF version of the leaflet by clicking on the link below, or ask at any office for a copy.
