Working in partnership for the people of Herefordshire

Emotional support

Herefordshire Carers Support runs support groups so that carers can meet other carers and share their experiences and problems with others who know how they feel. These are also occasions to socialise and have time out from your caring responsibilities.

The support groups are in different areas of Hereford.

Hereford city, Bromyard , Leominster, Ledbury,Ross on Wye,  Parents together and Carers in Mind.

To find out more information about these support groups contact Herefordshire Carers Support on 01432 356068 or by e-mail help@herefordshirecarerssupport.org

Support will also be provided through a social worker who may be involved with the person you care for or yourself.

A carers assessor or a social worker will be available to complete an assessment of your needs, this is known as a carer's assessment.

Village Wardens may be helpful to you, or the person you care.  They are British Red Cross staff who use their knowledge of local services to help their community.

They can connect people to a wide range of local services, helping people to be more independent and remain in their own homes.

For more information about Village Wardens contact them on 01432 373039.
