It is proposed that this vision forms part of the overall approach for people, communities, and partners. The vision for adults in Herefordshire will provide a focus for our work together in addressing the challenges of people growing older, people living with disability and encouraging positive changes to changing their way of life accordingly.
The Draft Vision comprises of a vision statement and twelve short guiding principles. The consultation offers four questions within the document for a response. Please send your views on the Draft Vision to Caroline Marshall, PA to Director for People’s Services via the contact details on page two of the consultation document.
The consultation closes at 5.00pm on 25 January 2012

Our vision and aims
The Herefordshire
Partnership sets out the vision for the county in
that:
"Herefordshire will be a place where people, organisations
and businesses, working together within an outstanding natural
environment, will bring about sustainable prosperity and
well-being for all"
To which we add the shared aims:
- Improve outcomes for local people
- Ensure excellence in service delivery
- Improve customers' and patients' experience
- Be efficient and deliver value for money
How will we deliver those aims?
We will meet these aims through a process called
commissioning which includes:
- assessing health needs across the county through the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment
- agreeing the most important health outcomes to achieve
- deciding how to invest for maximum health gain
- arranging contracts for services
