Eligibility: h.Art is open to artists and designer-makers (professional or semi-professional) who live or have a studio address within the Herefordshire county boundaries. We may be able to accept studios located up to approximately 5 miles beyond the county boundary - please contact h.Art to discuss.
To qualify as a Gallery, your venue must be open to the public for a minimum of 12 weeks p.a. and sell work by a number of artists on a commercial basis.
REGISTRATION
From 2009, h.Art registration will be online. Online registration makes the most efficient use of h.Art's limited administrative resources. Assistance will be made available to those without access to their own computer.
1. FEES 2009
1.1 Membership: £ 40
1.2 Guide fee - early bird rate*: £120
1.21 Guide fee - standard rate*: £140
1.3 Galleries: £224 (no membership fee
required)
1.4 Open Exhibition hanging fee: £ 45 (payable by
selected artists who would also have to have h.Art 09
membership)
* The Early Bird rate expires on 31 March 09, after which you would have to pay the Standard rate for your Guide entry. See Deadlines below.
Notes:
a] From 2009 there is no Group Membership fee. All participants
must take individual h.Art Membership.
b] To participate in h.Art you must have Public Liability
insurance. Your household policy may cover you; alternatively, if
you subscribe to a-n (Artists
Newsletter), your subscription package includes PL cover.

* These dates are DEADLINES - ie, you must have completed the necessary action and payment BEFORE that date. These new arrangements enable you to split your payment for h.Art, with the Membership fee due in February and Guide fee due in March.

Artists' Planning and Networking Meeting: Wednesday 28th January 2009, 6 - 7.30pm.
This free event is held in the Council Chamber at Brockington in Hereford (Hafod Road). We will explain all the new developments for h.Art 2009, give you a chance to network with other artists and meet the h.Art Steering Group who can offer advice and support to first timers. We will also demonstrate the new online registration system. Details will be sent out in early January. There is always a lot to cover at this event so please arrive for a prompt start at 6pm.
We will hold an Online Registration Workshop on 24 or 25 February offering assistance in registering for those without computer access / skills. Full details will be posted here, advertised in Artery and circulated to current members early in January.
