Frequently Asked Questions

Question:

How long will it take to obtain a Highways Amenity Licence?

Answer:

Remember that simply applying for a licence does not guarantee you will be issued with one.

Various legal consultation exercises have to be carried out such as public notices being put up in the vicinity and all frontages in close proximity will be written to and given a chance to air any objections they may have.

Site visits will also be required with a council representative to determine placements, dimensions etc. A licence is likely to take between 6 and 8 weeks to obtain in total should the Panel approve it.
