Frequently Asked Questions

Question:

How can I apply to divert a public footpath/bridleway from its existing route?

Answer:

Send an e-mail to rightsofway@herefordshire.gov.uk or phone 01432 260572 to discuss the process with one of our officers.

Public rights of way can only be diverted when a legal order is confirmed and certified following a public consultation exercise.

Contact for further information: Assistant Rights of Way Officer, telephone: 01432 260572 or see the Public Rights of Way section.
