Frequently Asked Questions

Question:

Can the Council cut down a healthy tree because it is interfering with my satellite television reception/ dropping leaves in my garden/ blocking sunlight?

Answer:

The Parks Team manages street trees as well as trees in the parks and open spaces throughout the county.  They are not responsible for trees in private ownership.  All trees are managed under the Council's tree policy and healthy trees are not removed under any circumstances.
