Frequently Asked Questions

Question:

I would like a copy of a plan or property deed which is in the possession of the Council. Can I obtain a copy and will I be charged a fee?

Answer:

The Council maintain a secure storage facility for deeds and plans relating to land owned or leased by the Council. Any request for copies of such documents should be made in writing.

The request should clearly identify the document sought and give as much detail as possible (e.g. the property address, any reference numbers, parties to the deed, date of the document etc).

The request should be addressed to Terrier Clerk, Herefordshire Council, Property Services, Franklin House, 4 Commercial Road, Hereford, HR1 2AZ alternatively email rc1@herefordshire.gov.uk .

Where copies are provided a fee will be payable for administrative and copying charges.
