Could you please tell me who owns an area of land near where I live?

Answer:

The council do not maintain details of land ownership within the county. If land has changed hands within the City of Hereford since 1st March 1977 or elsewhere within the county since 1st December 1990, details of ownership will have been recorded at Her Majesty's District Land Registry, Parkside Court, Hall Park Way, Telford, TF3 4LR (telephone 01952 290355) to whom all enquiries should be addressed.

If, however, you believe that the council itself may own the land, enquiries can be made to the Terrier Officer in the Council's Property Services Section on 01432 383362 or email terrierteam@herefordshire.gov.uk
