Air Quality Management Areas and Action Plans
In the UK there are a number of air quality management areas. Details of these can be found on the UK National Air Quality Information Archive.Herefordshire has three air quality management areas, each declared due to a breach of the government’s objective for the pollutant nitrogen dioxide. All are a result of traffic near to housing. Two areas have so far been designated and one is under consultation prior to its declaration.
