The team was established in 1998 by Herefordshire Council. It is located within the Planning Department in the Council's Sustainable Communities Directorate.
The Conservation section includes: Archaeologists, Ecologists, a Biodiversity Partnership Coordinator, an Arboriculturalist, Historic/Listed Buildings Officers and Biological Records Centre Officers.
Biodiversity Partnership - co-ordinating partnership work on Biodiversity Action Plans

Landscapes - conserving, enhancing and creating high quality landscapes
Tree Protection - Tree Preservation Orders and gaining permission for carrying out works to protected trees
