Herefordshire Building Control provide a comprehensive inspection service to sports grounds within the Area. This is undertaken in association with the Fire Authority and for larger venues, the Police, who together form a Safety Team.
All sports ground owners and event organisers are advised to notify Building Control when planned events are likely to take place and in particular when they may attract above average crowds.
Safety at Sports Grounds
Public awareness to safety at sports grounds has been heightened in recent years giving rise nationally to the demand for more and more attention from Local Authorities.Herefordshire Building Control provide a comprehensive inspection service to sports grounds within the Area.
