Working in partnership for the people of Herefordshire

Online Common Application Process

February 23rd 2009 not only saw the return of the county's learners to schools after half term, but also the launch of a pilot online Common Application Process (CAP).

The CAP is a government initiative designed to ensure equal opportunities and access to education provision for our young people and this pilot comes a year before the planned roll out of a full scale Common Application Process across Herefordshire.

The CAP will be up and running again in September 2010 and will be used by schools and colleges across the county as learners apply for Herefordshire's Young Apprenticeships and Diplomas online, by visiting the 14-19 Prospectus on the Youthzone website (http://www.myherefordshire.com/youthzone2010/)

Guides to filling in the application for learners, school staff and course providers can also be found on the Youthzone.

After months of work from the 14-19 Team and IT Services we are delighted to have the CAP up and running and are now concentrating on training learners and school staff in using the new resource.

For more information please contact your school, college, Connexions, or the 14-19 Team at Herefordshire Council.
