School admissions

The Admissions Office deals with applications for admission to any year group at a Herefordshire primary or secondary school.

All applications for Reception (Primary), year 7 (High School), and other In Year Transfers should be made direct to the Admissions Office. You can contact either the admissions or transport team if:

• your preferred school is full and you want advice
• you need information about your right of appeal
• you need information about home to school transport

New guide for parents

The National Department for Children, Schools and Families has published a new guide for parents on school admissions and appeals. The guide outlines the school admissions and appeals process:

• what parents can expect from the admissions system
• how to object to unlawful arrangements
• how to find further information and support
