From Worcester A4103 and Bromyard A465 
Do not take the A465 from the roundabout just outside the town. Stay on the A4103 signposted for Holmer. Carry on over the hump-backed railway bridge to the next roundabout by the Starting Gate Hotel and there turn left on to the A49 heading South into Hereford. Now follow the directions from Leominster.

From Leominster A49 
Take the A49 and follow this road past the racecourse into Hereford watching for a BP service station on your left. You will then pass Hereford United's football ground on the left with the Courtyard theatre on the opposite side of the road. At the far end of the football ground turn immediately left into Blackfriars Street. The education centre is the last building on the left.

From Ross A49 and Abergavenny A465 
Cross the main Wye Bridge with the Cathedral on your right and continue North on the A49. Approach the large roundabout in the left hand lane and again continue North on the A49 signposted to Leominster. Immediately after the roundabout get into the right hand lane and take the filter before the traffic island and football ground to turn right into Blackfriars Street. The education centre is the last building on the left.

From Brecon A438 
Carry on into town along the A438. You will be compelled to turn left on to the A49 approaching the cattle market roundabout. Approach the large roundabout in the left hand lane and continue North at the roundabout. Immediately after the roundabout get into the right hand lane and take the filter before the traffic island and football ground to turn right into Blackfriars Street. The education centre is the last building on the left.

From Ledbury A438 
Follow the A438 right through the town taking the signs for Leominster A49. At the cattle market roundabout with Tesco's on your left take the A49 north for Leominster. Immediately after the roundabout get into the right hand lane and take the filter before the traffic island to turn right into Blackfriars Street. The education centre is the last building on the left.

Directions For Visitors Travelling By Public Transport

Both the railway station and the bus station are situated close to Commercial Road and are within easy walking distance from the Children and Young People's Directorate. The bus station is situated behind the cinema on Commercial Road.
From the railway station follow the road towards the centre of town. Just past the cinema and as you come to a set of traffic lights you will see an old red-sandstone gateway on your right leading through a ancient churchyard. Follow this path until you meet Canal Street at the end of the path. Cross Canal Street and walk straight on into Conningsby Street where you will pass the Freedom Centre and St Thomas Cantilupe School, both on your right.  At the end of the road you will see the Hereford Education & Conference Centre ahead of you, the main home of the Children and Young People's Directorate. Cross over Widemarsh Street and straight on to Blackfriars Street.  The entrance to Blackfriars Offices is on your right.
