Silver Exhibitors 2009

Sterling silver leaf bowls

Louise creates a unique latticework of flowers, which are translated into objects to desire and use, from candle holders and vases, to intricate necklaces. Her inspiration is the natural world, seen in her distinctive and tactile fold formed leaf spoons.

Oxidised Silver & Tourmalinated Quartz Pendant

My work features hand cut gemstones tension set in precious metals using precision welding technology. My inspiration is both architectural and organic coming from my love of gemstones and natural materials in combination with man made structural forms.

Beaker with garnets

Wally works across several design areas. As a silversmith he makes highly decorated silver vessels, candle sticks & dishes. As a sculptor he makes figures in cast iron & bronze and he also makes decorative architectural cast aluminium and iron work.

Silver & Enamel Pill Box

Silver gilt & enamel pill box, 45mm Diam: 'Fish & Wave'. Basse taille enamel technique in transparent ice blue enamel - the design is hand-engraved onto the silver box in shallow relief before being enamelled with a transparent colour.

Silver box with slate lid & ruby

Tactile silver jewellery/silverware embellished with 18ct gold & semi-precious stones & beads, comprising of necklaces, pendants, rings, earrings and cufflinks. Also, tableware and objects of desire.

'Foliage' necklace; silver & 18ct gold

Sian's designs have evolved to rely on simplicity and sensitivity to the materials, forms, colours and textures. Inspired by nature & the environment, her jewellery is both delicate & feminine. Materials include; gold, silver & semi-precious stones.

Teardrop bracelet & necklace

Jennifer's work is an evolution of her uniquely designed shape. Repetition & clustering is combined with intrinsic catches & details that highlight her distinctive style. Shapes are developed into functional silverware to give pieces a tactile quality.

Contemporary designs which are subtle, pure & minimal with clean lines & a soft finish are key to Sue Lane's work. Current collections include gold, silver & platinum with diamonds & coloured stones.

Jewellery designs develop from the process of making and the materials used, resulting in bold forms enclosing colour and pattern.

Amethyst & peacock pearl necklace

Classic, yet contemporary jewellery using precious, semi-precious gemstones and freshwater pearls. Granules are used to create a delicate and tactile quality.

Silver, gold & gemstone jewellery etched with intricate details of maps, which can be commissioned & hold personal signifigance for the wearer.

Kerry specialises in silver & ceramics, this unique combination has sparked great enthusiasm for her work. Her handmade sophisticated products are sculptural yet functional with an emphasis on items for the table & interior.

Brett is a contemporary silversmith, one of the principal assets of his approach to design is his ability to refine innovation and unconventional ideas into visually stunning, disarmingly practical pieces.

Diamond & Emerald Engagement & Wedding Rings

Shivani's collection of jewellery comprises wearable, precious art. Emphasis is placed on aesthetic value and a high level of craftsmanship. All pieces are constructed by hand in high carat coloured golds with rich textured surfaces.
