Metal Exhibitors 2011

Green Lady

Almost 30 years of passionate forging experience allow Andrew to alchemically transform unyielding metals into his trademark 'growing metal' designs. He captures inspired phrases from the natural world to produce his unique, vibrant, decorative creations

'Peony' Silver bowl

Karina will be exhibiting her distinctive etched metal bowls alongside her silver jewellery. She has been developing and creating her designs in metal for the past 15 years now specializing in silver.

Tea pot

I am interested in the concept of escapism. I escape by reading science fiction and fantasy stories. My collection of tea instruments are intended to enhance the mundane task of tea making with their quirky qualities.

Silver curved vessel

Sculptural metalware etched with wording derived from classical literature, ranging from decorative pieces to functional tableware such as napkin rings and candlesticks, which have inspired a jewellery range of silver with set gemstones.

Three silver caddy boxes

Award winning handcrafted silverware, constructed using traditional techniques in a contemporary way. Silver is folded & worked into many varied forms, to create sculptural & functional objects, exploring the effects of light on the surface of the metal.

pachadesign

We design & make furniture & accessories from reclaimed & natural resources, such as oak, slate & metal. Our work evolves from a simplistic approach to design, combining pared down aesthetics with the Japanese view of beauty in imperfection.

Claudia Petley and Paul Shepherd

Paul & Claudia's work is hand forged, using traditional techniques to create contemporary ironwork. Work ranges from small interior pieces to large architectural installations. They have been inspired by nature to create a range of garden sculptures.
