Flexible Working Seminar

If you are sick of the sight of your office then the Flexible Working Seminar could provide some answers to the daily grind.

Herefordshire Council and Worcestershire County Council are holding a Flexible Working Seminar to explore remote, mobile, flexible and home working solutions.

Many workers are forced to waste tortuous hours stuck in traffic or squeezed into overcrowded trains as they commute to and from work and it’s not only family life that suffers.

Research shows a flexible approach to working hours and locations allows employees to achieve a better balance of work and family life and can improve productivity by up to 40%.

Over the next few years, all businesses - large and small - will be forced to review their working practices and adopt more flexible working arrangements.

Productivity can improve and fixed operating costs can be reduced as central offices are scaled down or even closed. Staff recruitment and retention rates can also improve.

Employees gain through the reduction, or elimination, of commuting time or by an adaptation of their normal working hours to meet home needs.

The seminar will offer companies the opportunity to hear about the benefits businesses have experienced after the introduction of flexible working arrangements. It will also provide a forum for discussing ideas and sharing best practice.

The seminar will be at The Abbey Hotel, Malvern, on Thursday 27th February from 10am until 4pm. The seminar costs £25 per person and includes refreshments and lunch.

Anyone who would like to attend the seminar or would like further information should contact Judith Whateley on 01432 260 514.
