Do you have an idea for a project, but no funding to get it off the ground?
Don’t know what funding is available or where to apply?
There are hundreds of funding opportunities available – if you know where to look!
Help is at hand to guide you through the maze from the latest edition of the Herefordshire Funding Directory produced by the Herefordshire Partnership.
This invaluable A5 booklet, now in its 10th edition, lists the main local and national funding opportunities that may be available to you if you live and work in Herefordshire, and will help locate and access the appropriate funding for a particular project.
Although aimed mainly at community groups it also lists help for other organisations.
The Directory gives information on a range of advice and information sources for funding from within the County and beyond and is updated three times a year.
There are new and updated business support schemes and grants for individuals as well.
After contacting the Herefordshire Partnership for funding advice, Roy Littlewood from the Parochial Church Council of Burghill was delighted when they were awarded £18,040 from the Local Heritage Initiative (whose three funding partners are the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Nationwide Building Society and the Countryside Agency) for their Reminiscence Project.
Robin Broad from Age Concern found the Funding Directory very helpful and the organisation was awarded £3,000.
Clare Wichbold, Regeneration Coordinator, said: ”I am delighted that the Directory is proving so useful.
“From its early beginnings as a 20 page leaflet, it has grown into an invaluable aid for people seeking funding in the county.
“We now print 750 copies and have people asking for more!”
