If you are a member of a local charity or voluntary organisation that is celebrating an anniversary in 2003 then why not celebrate in style and have your logo depicted in a carpet bed in one of the County’s parks.
The Herefordshire Council Parks & Countryside Service are inviting local organisations and societies to put forward their logo to be considered for carpet beds at Castle Pool and Churchill Gardens in Hereford, the Walled Garden in Ledbury, the Prospect in Ross-on-Wye and the Grange in Leominster.
The carpet beds are constructed from various species of plants with different coloured foliage, which are arranged to make up the design of your logo.
Colin Meneaud, Parks Officer said; “This is a more exciting way of celebrating an anniversary for your charity or voluntary organisation and it also provides an ideal opportunity to raise public awareness of the work you undertake.”
“These carpet beds are a special feature in our parks, providing enjoyment to our thousands of visitors throughout the summer months” Colin added.
If you would like your organisation or society to be considered please send details along with a coloured sketch of your logo to Suzanne Wenczek at Herefordshire Council Parks & Countryside Service, PO Box 41, Leominster HR6 0ZA by Friday 31st January 2003.
