The sculptures will be located along Straight Mile Road, Rotherwas, and have been designed in consultation with local residents and businesses, to celebrate the role of people in the munitions factories during the two world wars.
Following the huge response after the call for people to nominate themselves or others to be included on the sculptures, and the fact that the works of art are about to be built, no new names can now be added.
“We would like to thank everyone who sent us names to be included in the public art sculptures Rotherwas Women,” said Melanie Bateman, Herefordshire Council’s Principal Arts Officer.
“There were many thousands of workers in Rotherwas and we are proud to be able to include some of them in the art works, which we hope will help future generations remember them.”
The names came from various different sources and the next stage of the process is to check all details are correct.
Letters have been sent out to everyone who gave their address when they put forward their own, or relatives’, names.
However, some names which were passed on do not have contact details for them so a call is going out for anyone who passed on names to contact Herefordshire Council and check that all details are correct before the names are etched onto the sculptures.

Details need to be confirmed by Friday, March 4, as work on the sculptures will begin shortly.
