Robin Symonds, Partnership chairman, says: “It is hoped that the plan will unlock £500,000 for the Ross area through the Market Towns Initiative: a 3 year regeneration programme funded by Advantage West Midlands.
“This is expected, in turn, to lever in an additional £500,000 in match funding leading to an investment of around £1 million in to the local economy.
“This an exciting time for the people of Ross-on-Wye and the parishes”.
Cllr Charles Mayson, Herefordshire Council Cabinet Member for Rural Regeneration and Smallholdings, said: “The plan and the funding it will help to secure will act as a catalyst for bringing much needed development into the local Ross economy.”
