The relocation of the Revenues and Benefits Customer Services and Info in Herefordshire’s help point from the Town Hall to Garrick House has been delayed until Monday 23 August.
The Garrick House cash office will also remain closed until that date.
This relocation will improve the service to customers and will include improved access for disabled users and better interview facilities.
The re-location has been delayed because the alteration and improvement works are taking slightly longer than expected. This delay is partly due to additional work being identified to bring other facilities up to the same high standard.
Herefordshire Council bills can still be paid at the Town Hall or Info shops.
Other methods of paying bills include: by post to the Town Hall, by phone quoting your debit or credit card details (debit card only for Council Tax), and via the Internet,
www.herefordshire.gov.uk Cllr June French, Cabinet Member (Human Resources and Corporate Support Services) said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this delay in re-opening may cause.
“We’re confident that it will be worth the wait and that the works will give our residents a much better service.”
