This updated site is a key element of the Council's "Implementing Electronic Government" strategy which aims to embrace new technology to improve service delivery and keep residents informed.
Today Herefordshire Council provides around 800 different services - so, whether you rely on our recycling facilities, need a bus to get you to school, have an elderly relative being cared for in their own home or eat at local restaurants, Herefordshire Council is involved somewhere along the line.
You'll find the vast majority of the services we provide quickly by using the A-Z of services.
We have also added a new search facility, together with a section on those questions which are most frequently asked of the Council, to help you find information much more easily.
This new site has been designed to act as an electronic gateway or "hub" for the Herefordshire Partnership and has been possible thanks to funding from both the Single Regeneration Budget through Advantage West Midlands and the European Regional Development Fund. We are grateful for their assistance and hope that the site achieves one of its key objectives - namely, to give the residents of Herefordshire greater access to a wide range of services from a large number of partner organisations across the county.
There are plans to expand the e-gateway further over the coming months and we will keep you up to date with these and other developments nearer the time.
I hope you enjoy your visit to our website - please let us know what you think. If there's information you can't find or think should be on our website, we want to hear from you. You can email your comments to editor@herefordshire.gov.uk or use our Contact Us feedback form.
