Are you looking for funding to help your voluntary group?
Does your group do work that benefits the residents of Herefordshire?
If so, then you may wish to apply for a Voluntary Sector Grant from Herefordshire Council.
Fifty-four organisations across the county received funding through this grant scheme last year and now applications are sought from groups needing funding for the period April 1, 2004, to March 31, 2005.
If your voluntary sector group is a not for profit organisation, has a written constitution and aims to help residents of the county in the areas of Community, Environment, Countryside, Heritage, Play, Sport or Youth, then you may be eligible to apply for funding.
There are two opportunities to apply. The first closing date is January 8, 2004, and the second March 31, 2004.
Cllr Roy Stockton, Cabinet Member for Community & Social Development, and Chair of the Voluntary Sector Grants Panel, said: “The Voluntary Sector in Herefordshire is thriving, offering plenty of opportunities and support to residents across the county.
“I’m pleased that Herefordshire Council will continue to support as many of these groups as it can through this scheme.”
Application packs, including the full scheme criteria can be found on the Herefordshire Council website at www.herefordshire.gov.uk or requested by phoning 01432 260103.
