Records Office Closure

Herefordshire Record Office will be closed for its annual stocktake from 24th November to 5 December inclusive.
Although the public will be unable to visit the office in person, we will still answer telephone, letter and email enquiries.

This two week closure gives us the opportunity to check our catalogues and film and fiche holdings to ensure that they’re in correct order and to highlight any that need replacing, also to catch up on various administrative tasks .

We will also be processing new microfilms of previously unfilmed Parish registers including those of Ross and Ledbury.

Finally, when we re-open after stocktake we will be unveiling new automatic doors and a redecorated entrance hall and new display facilities.

We apologise for any inconvenience that our closure may cause, but hope to see you again in December!
