Queenswood In the Clear

Queenswood Country Park’s reputation as a safe and friendly family venue has been reaffirmed after an “adult content” website removed any reference to the Herefordshire beauty spot.

Herefordshire Council’s legal team contacted the website proprietors who agreed to delete Queenswood’s name.

Queenswood staff were adamant that there was no evidence to support the stories that the Country Park was being used as a place for lewd conduct and staff are delighted at the latest news.

Tony Featherstone Parks, Countryside and Leisure Development Manager, said: “There has been absolutely no evidence of any inappropriate behaviour at the Park and I think the website proprietors have realised the anomaly and agreed to cooperate.

“The list of locations on the website is very large and I think Queenswood was included simply because it’s a secluded, publicly accessible park.

“I can understand the media interest in this story but in truth the reports have been ‘fantasy rather than fact’.

“I hope this latest development sets the record straight and puts minds at ease.

“Queenswood remains a safe and friendly location for all visitors and is one of the county’s premier tourist attractions.

“All the hard-working staff are looking forward to a busy summer holiday period at the Park with loads of activities planned for people of all ages.
