Works to protect Ledbury buildings

24 August 2010

Herefordshire Council is advising motorists that there will be no access for four days, starting on Monday, September 6, to Top Cross in Ledbury from New Street.

The council's contractors Amey are carrying out programmed works to build a traffic calming narrow build-out, designed to protect buildings in New Street from any damage.

The works will provide a physical barrier to prevent wide vehicles from going down New Street and causing damage to the shops.

Wide vehicles will now have to go straight ahead and on to the Worcester road.

Road closure signs will notify motorists of the works.
