LATE OPENING TIME FOR HEREFORD RECORD OFFICE



The Herefordshire Record Office in Hereford is to open later on Wednesday mornings to allow staff training and meetings.

The Office, in Harold Street, Hereford, currently opens at 9.15am on Mondays to Saturdays.

However, the opening time on Wednesday mornings is now 10am. This will give staff an opportunity to take part in training sessions and joint meetings.

The office will close at the normal time of 4.45pm.

Opening hours for the remainder of the week, including alternate Saturdays will not be affected:

Monday, 9.15am - 4.45pm
Tuesday, 9.15am - 4.45pm
Wednesday, 10am - 4.45pm
Thursday, 9.15am - 4.45pm
Friday, 9.15am - 4.45pm
Saturday, 9.15am - 1pm (Alternate weekends, check for dates)

Rhys Griffith, Herefordshire Council’s Senior Archivist, said: “It’s important for staff development that we have a regular chance to exchange ideas and learn more about how best to use the archives.

“This will help us give our users the very best advice.”
