HOP ON BOARD THE SS EXPLORER

Sure Start’s mobile service, the S.S. Explorer, is celebrating its first birthday on Wednesday, September 8.

The bus will be in Leominster – next to the library - from 10am to midday, and at Kington from 1pm to 3pm in the Burton Hotel car park.

“You won’t be able to miss the bus,” said Carole Harris, Community Project Co-ordinator for Sure Start.

“There’ll be loads of balloons and activities for children under four years of age – not forgetting the birthday cake!” she added.

“We would love to see as many families with young children as possible – so please come along,” she said.

The bus has been an ideal meeting place for parents, with plenty for the children to do. There are games, toys, computers on board and toilet and nappy changing facilities available.

It has had a very successful first year visiting rural places in the Sure Start area that do not have easy access to services for children aged under four.

Why not hop on board the next time it’s in your area and come and celebrate S.S. Explorer’s first birthday?
