WORKS UNDERWAY ON THE NEW AYLESTONE PARK

The work, which is being co-ordinated by Owen Williams and undertaken by Herefordshire Jarvis Services, start on 23rd August.

It will involve the widening the road outside the new entrance to Aylestone Park to allow pedestrians and vehicles to turn in safely from the far side of the road.

The work has been carefully co-ordinated to minimise disruption to traffic before the schools go back in September, but it is likely that there will be a short period where traffic control is necessary.

The Herefordshire Council Parks, Countryside & Leisure Development Service, who work in partnership with the Aylestone Park Association hope that the works will mean that the Park will soon be available for public use.

Fran White, Parks Development Officer, said: ” We apologise for any inconvenience caused while the road is widened, but it does mean that we are another step closer to opening the recreational part of the Park to the public.”
