Refuse and recycling back on track

Refuse and recycling back on track

Herefordshire Council reports that refuse and recycling services were able to carry out most collections yesterday (20 January 2010) despite the snow.

However, it proved impossible for the council’s contractor Focsa to collect from some properties in the Shobdon and Brienton areas. For any collections of rubbish or recycling not made in Shobdon and Brienton on Wednesday, the contactor will do their utmost to collect before the end of the day on Friday 22 January. Residents are requested to leave their rubbish and recycling out for collection until 6pm on Friday.

FOCSA are collecting waste and recycling as normal today (21 January 2010) and tomorrow (Friday).

Richard Wood, waste services manager, said: “I would like to thank Herefordshire residents again for bearing with us and I am grateful to our contractor for providing a full service across most of the county yesterday in difficult weather conditions”.
