Sketch a skeleton as part of the Big Draw

12 October 2009

Herefordshire Council’s museums are offering county residents the chance to take part in the national Big Draw event.

Two fun days have been organised, one at the Market House Heritage Centre in  Ross, and one at the Museum Resource and Learning Centre in Friar Street, Hereford, when people can sketch a skeleton.

Children of all ages, and their parents, are welcome to attend the fun days where they will have a chance to meet a bone expert and see some ancient bones.

The Big Body Draw is at Ross on Tuesday, October 27, from 10am until 1.30pm and at Hereford on Thursday, October 29 from 11am until 3pm.

Councillor Adrian Blackshaw, Herefordshire Council’s cabinet member for economic development and community services, said: “Our museums have a wealth of expertise and artefacts and this event offers a fun way for people to try their hand at drawing. The Big Draw aims to show that everyone can draw and, by providing a fun topic, hopefully many local residents will come along and join the two events.”
