Hereford residents are delighted with works carried out by Welsh Water which have seen an end to the unpleasant smells that used to come from the city’s waste water treatment works at Eign and Rotherwas, a meeting of RAWW (Residents and Welsh Water Liaison Group) heard.

NHS Herefordshire confirms there have been three cases of swine flu in Herefordshire to date, in the context of over 1,500 confirmed cases in the West Midlands as a whole. The Herefordshire confirmed cases are an older man who returned from holiday to Hereford from an affected area, a university student who returned to the county and a man in his 40s. All have responded well to anti viral drugs.
