Plans to convert redundant traditional farm buildings at The Farm, Aymestrey, were approved by members of the northern area planning sub-committee at their meeting on Wednesday, November 19.
Planning permission was granted in March 2001 for conversion into two homes and B1 class workshops but this has not been fully implemented.
Herefordshire Council's transportation manager raised no objections.
Aymestrey Parish Council objected to the development, saying there were already too many holiday lets in the area. The council said this application would bring the number of lets in the area up to 78 whereas there are only 23 private homes in Aymestrey, housing 45-50 residents.
Letters of objection were received from nine householders concerned at the number of existing holiday lets, access and traffic safety. A further letter was received expressing concern at the amount of holiday lets already in the area.
A letter of objection has also been received on behalf of the Campaign to Protect Rural England, saying the amount of holiday lets are already too high in relationship to permanent homes in the area.
Letters of support were received from two householders saying the scheme will bring extra work to the area.
