Herefordshire Council is to close the A4111 from Parton junction to Headbrook roundabout, Kington, to carry out resurfacing and drainage works.
The road, commonly known as Cemetery Bends, will be closed from Saturday, November 15 until Tuesday, November 18.
A diversion will be out in place using the A44 and A4112 which will be fully signposted.
Property owners along the affected route will still be able to access them.
Clive Hall, Herefordshire Council's network manager, said: "Unfortunately we will not be able to complete these works safely without closing the road and as this is a popular stretch of road, we wanted to give motorists plenty of advance warning about the closure so they can plan ahead for any essential journeys they need to make during this period.
"We have also chosen to work on a Saturday and Sunday to reduce the inconvenience to commuters," he added.
