Temporary traffic lights removed after gas leak repaired

29 October 2008

Herefordshire Council has removed temporary traffic lights on the mini-roundabout at the top of Aylestone Hill, Hereford, after Transco completed works to repair a gas leak.

The gas leak was reported yesterday morning (October 28) and the traffic controls were in place from 6pm last night until 1.30pm today (October 29).

Transco need the traffic controls so their workers are able to safely explore the cause and repair it.

Clive Hall, Herefordshire Council's network manager, said: "We are pleased this work has been completed so quickly and apologise again to any motorists inconvenienced by the temporary lights."
