Whether you want to stride or stroll you can have fun and be active in Herefordshire on Saturday 23rd October at Queenswood Country Park.
Take part in the ‘Autumn Amble’ Fundraiser - a sponsored walk in aid of two very local causes – Ready Steady Win and the Dogs Trust re-homing Centre at Evesham.
Organised by Ready Steady Win in partnership with the Herefordshire Council Parks, Countryside & Leisure Development Service this event will offer you a chance to explore the Country Park and Arboretum and see the spectacular seasonal colour, whilst doing your bit for charity!
The walk will be accessible to all, whatever your ability.
Complete the Badger Trail or if you would prefer a more ‘challenging’ walk, join Senior Ranger Paul Tomkins who will lead you around the Deer Trail. Dogs are welcome to join in too!
Taking part is easy - you can enter in advance (this is cheaper) and achieve sponsorship, or you can just turn up and enter on the day.
Jo Jones of Ready Steady Win said “Walking is the central mode of activity for people in Herefordshire.
“The Autumn Amble will take place whatever the weather and will be a great chance for family, friends and pampered pooches to be physically active.
“Children are encouraged to decorate a hat in the theme of Halloween so they can take part in our special ‘Halloween Hats’ competition.
“Each entry will be given a goody bag and there will be a prize for the SPOOKIEST hat!
“The fun starts at 10.30am with even the more challenging route complete by 12.30pm.
“The afternoon features Senior Ranger Paul Tomkins who will be running a ‘dog mad’ hour between 2pm and 3pm with training hints and tips”, she added.
