Car park closed for essential resurfacing works

28 October 2008

Herefordshire Council is warning motorists that the Bath Street car park will be closed during the week commencing November 10 to allow essential resurfacing works to take place.

As part of the works, expected to be completed by the following weekend (Saturday, November 15), extra car parking spaces will be added where the former toilet block stood.

Councillor Brian Wilcox, Herefordshire Council's cabinet member for highways and transportation, said: "The car park urgently needs resurfacing work and, now the toilet block has been demolished, it makes sense to do the work now as we will also be able to put in new lines for the extra spaces at the same time.

"I would like to apologise for any inconvenience and advise anyone with a season ticket for the Bath Street car park that they will be able to use the one in Venns Close instead," he added.
