Students from Whitecross High School and Specialist Sports College will be working with Korean veterans to learn more about the conflict and to create a unique local resource.
Julia Radburn, Herefordshire Council's principal officer young people and learning, said: "This 12-week project will bring generations together, to remember past conflict and learn from personal stories.
"Students will also be creating memory boxes including letters, objects, photographs and filmed/taped reminiscences for use by other schools as well as nursing homes, residential care homes and community organisations.
"The project, which will be run as an Extended School activity, will also give young people the chance to develop research skills as well as learning how to film and record interviews," she added.
When completed, there will be a celebration and display on the project's findings.
