Team Read winners

Herefordshire Council's run libraries were delighted with the response to their first summer Team Read Quiz which gave youngsters the chance to test their book knowledge and get fit with prizes of special sports bags and Halo vouchers up for grabs.

Two winners each received prizes of £25 Halo vouchers and 66 runners-up received £5 Halo vouchers.

Jan Nesaratnam, Herefordshire Council's senior reader services librarian, said: "The quiz was run as part of this year's Summer Reading Challenge and more than 200 entries were received by libraries with Ross-on-Wye taking pole position for the most entrants."

• Niamh Hickey (4) and Harry Scudamore (11) from Ross
• William Flaherty (6) and Anna Flaherty (9) from Ledbury
• Kian Box (5) and John Faulkner (8) from Bromyard
• Ciara McAvinchey-Mills (6) and Phoebe Price (9) from Kington
• Ellen Somers (9) from Belmont
• Hannah Willis (10) and Megan Ford (7)
• William Riley (5) and Hannah Riley (11) from Weobley
• Nancy Richards (8) from Leintwardine
• Rebecca & Hannah Collins from the Mobile Library
