Kington Town Council looking for a new councillor

Kington Town Council has a vacancy following the death of one of its councillors.

Anyone wanting to stand needs to complete a nomination form and return it to Herefordshire Council's electoral registration team by midday on Friday, October 17.

If only one person stands, they will automatically become a town councillor.
If more than one person decides to stand, an election will be triggered.

Should an election be necessary, it will be held on Thursday, November 13.

Nomination papers can be obtained from the following sources:

• The Electoral Registration Office, Town Hall, St Owen Street, Hereford, HR1 2PJ

• Mr G Rippon, Kington Town Clerk, Kington Town Council office, 2 Mill Street, Kington HR 5 3BH

They can also be downloaded from Herefordshire Council's website - www.herefordshire.gov.uk/elections.

Completed nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer at the offices in Hereford Town hall by noon on Friday, October 17.
