All the fun of the funding fair!

Once again the funding fair is coming to Herefordshire, with its mix of networking, information sharing and workshops.

This popular event, run by the community regeneration team at Herefordshire Council, will take place at Hereford's Aylestone High School on Wednesday, October 29.

Workshops include the Big Lottery Fund, Heritage Lottery Fund, CharityBank, and workshops on local funding including the Youth Opportunities Fund and the new LEADER programme.

To round things off, there is a session on developing social enterprises.

Clare Wichbold, regeneration coordinator for project development, said: "We're very pleased to be hosting the funding fair again, and look forward to welcoming old friends and new faces.

"The workshop sessions look very exciting for this year's event, and will run as usual in the morning and will be repeated in the afternoon.

"We would encourage people to book for the workshops as many of them fill up very quickly".

She added that Herefordshire is blessed with a number of organisations which provide a range of valuable services to our communities.

"These cost money to run and so I'd encourage representatives from these groups to come along and find out what grants they might be able to tap into - we can also advise how to go about applying for grants."

The event is free and runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

Free childcare is available as the event takes place during half term week. A buffet lunch will also be available from 12.30pm to 1.30pm

As well as the bookable workshops, information stalls will be available on a drop-in basis all day in the main hall.
