Resurfacing works may cause delays

07 October 2008

Herefordshire Council is advising county motorists they may face delays due to resurfacing works taking place.

Resurfacing work is being carried out on Wednesday, October 15 and Thursday, October 16 on a 250-metre stretch of the A438 near Baynham's Farm, Ledbury. The stretch of road is around one mile west of the Ledbury bypass.

Work will start at 8am on Wednesday and delays are possible at peak times so motorists are advised to allow longer for their journeys.

The second resurfacing work is being carried out on the A4103 at Fromes Hill. These works will start at 8am on Monday, October 27 and be completed by 5pm on Tuesday, October 28.

Work involves reconstructing the existing Worcester-bound lane, starting near the garage/café for a distance of 350 metres.

Clive Hall, Herefordshire Council's network manager said: "We have timed this resurfacing during half-term week to lessen the impact on commuters but some delays are still likely during peak periods so again motorists are advised to allow longer for their journeys."
