Herefordshire Council's libraries service is launching two new "Chatterbook" groups for children aged between eight and 12 years old.
One is in Leominster and starts on Saturday, October 11 after their author event with Cat Weatherill.
The other is in Ledbury and starts on Thursday, November 6 from 4pm until 4.45pm.
Emma Stevens, library learning officer, said: "Chatterbook groups are a fun way for children to share books, stories and meet other children.
"The aim is to encourage a love and enjoyment of reading as well as having a great time in the library.
"Youngsters don't have to be bookworms to join in as there are plenty of games, stories and exciting things to be involved in as well as collecting stickers, pencils, folders and other goodies," she added.
