Crafty goings-on in Hereford’s High Town this weekend

16 September 2008

If you're hunting for original Christmas presents you need to hot foot it to Hereford's High Town this Saturday, September 20.

Around 35 local makers will bring their unique and affordable crafts to the city centre for a crafts market which runs from 9am to 5pm.

Among the crafts people will be jewellers, potters, photographers and textile designers.

Many of those selling goods will also be the makers of the craft work themselves so inquisitive visitors will be able to ask questions.

"This will be a showcase of what Herefordshire's crafts people can produce and it promises to be a colourful celebration of the county's creativity," said Andy Dawson, Herefordshire Council's creative industries co-ordinator.
