Temporary traffic lights on the A49 south of Hereford

09 September 2008

Motorists are being advised that they may face delays on the A49 going south out of Hereford towards Ross-on-Wye.

This week (w/c Mon, Sept 8) workmen have begun taking up the temporary carriageway which was laid to carry trunk road traffic while the roundabout linking the A49 at Grafton with the new Rotherwas access road was constructed.

Once the temporary carriageway is removed, the land will be landscaped.

Work began on Monday this week, September 8, and during the works temporary traffic lights will be used to ensure the safety of workmen.

These temporary lights will only be used during off-peak times to minimise disruption to traffic.
