Plans for residential wind turbine approved

Plans for a residential wind turbine at The Granary, Mansell Lacy, Hereford, were approved by members of the central area planning sub-committee at their meeting on Wednesday, August 6.

The turbine is 3.7 metres in diameter and mounted on top of a 10.5 metre monopole and is aimed at reducing the property’s reliance on the national grid.

Mansell Lacy Parish Council recommended the application for approval.

Two letters of objection were received concerned that the wind turbine would be obtrusive.
