Result of uncontested election for Kington Town Council
06 August 2008
Jessica Marie Squire of Hatton Gardens, Kington, and Janet Lavinia Thomas of Church Road, Kington, have been elected as councillors for Kington Town Council without contest.
The vacancies arose following the recent resignation of two councillors.
Anyone wanting to stand had to complete a nomination form and return it to Herefordshire Council’s electoral registration team by midday on Thursday, July 31.
As there were only two nominations, they were elected unopposed.
An election will not now be held.
